Katt Mills - Horse Trainer, Teacher, Professional

Katt MillsUSDF Bronze Medalist and certified Ride Right mounted and unmounted instructor, Kathryn “Katt” Mills is a 2005 graduate of Centenary College where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree, concentrating in Training the Green and Problem Horse, as well as Riding Instruction.

Commencing her riding career at age 5, Katt rode principally Hunters and Saddleseat until college, where she discovered the grace, beauty and symmetry of Dressage and began concentrating on Jumpers and Dressage.

 

In addition to her team of instructors at Centenary, Katt was fortunate to work with R Judge Lisa K. Schmidt as her assistant for 5 years, and train under International Competitor Jessie Steiner, U.S. Olympic Coach Daniel Stewart and Susanne Hassler, the first dressage rider to ever win the prestigious sportsmanship-performance award, the Hermes Trophy,  which she followed by winning the National Championships for Young Horses. 

 

Katt has also worked with Columbia's Olympic Competitor Dr. Cesar Parra, the renowned Young Horse Trainer and International Competitor Scott Hassler, "O" Judge Linda Zang and Olympian Lendon Gray.

 

After college, Katt returned to the Lehigh Valley, nestled among Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York and the Poconos, to work on her dreams and to help others, both equine and human, achieve theirs as well.

USDF Recognizes Katt

     Katt and Lance returned from an "awesome!" two days with Debbie McDonald just in time to learn that Katt has been awarded the Bronze Medal by the United States Dressage Federation.  Way to go, Katt!
