Katt Mills

Having worked with all types of horses and riders, Katt’s goal is to meet the needs of the owner/rider and draw great willing movements from the horse. Whether she is showing the horse its first saddle and bridle, training it to load or to work with a rider, she has a knack for enabling the horse to meet or exceed its full potential.

Katt’s human students range in age from 7 to 77 and their ability from raw beginner to seasoned veteran of the show ring. Their aspirations are as varied as a rainbow and Katt adjusts her teaching style to most effectively work with their experience, temperament and goals. Whether their interest is trail rides or the national show ring, Katt gives them, their horse, or the two together her undivided attention and effort to provide a fun learning experience and the reward of achieving their objective.

Katt & FamilyKatt and her significant other, well-known Farrier Luke Dellmyer, live with their two-year old son, Ty Joseph in a log house, sharing their 6 acres with a mini horse (she's Ty's), four dogs, two birds, a cat, two sheep (baa's to Ty), a Thoroughbred and a pot-bellied pig.  Ty loves playing with and helping to care for his own menagerie and spending his time at Stonefield Stables with the horses and riders.

At Stonefield, located in Coopersburg, just north of Quakertown, Lehigh Valley, PA, Katt provides horse riding lessons to a wide variety of students and trains horses from green newbies through Level 4 Dressage champions.

Katt's understanding of the needs of both horse and rider and her patient encouragement of both make her an ideal horse trainer and riding instructor, within and outside of the Lehigh Valley.  It is not surprising that her students, both human and equine, achieve success inside and outside of the show ring.
