USDF Recognizes Katt

Katt and Lance returned from an "awesome!" two days with Debbie McDonald just in time to learn that Katt has been awarded the Bronze Medal by the United States Dressage Federation. Way to go, Katt!

Katt is proud to announce that she has been invited to participate in a two-day clinic with Debbie McDonald, the first American rider to win the World Cup championship.
Ms. McDonald’s other accomplishments include wins at 2003 Bayer Festival of Champions, both the 2004 and 2005 U.S. Grand Prix Freestyle/Championship/U.S. League Finals, the U.S. Equestrian Team Grand Prix Championship, and both Individual and Team Gold medals at the 1999 Pan American Games. She was named Equestrian of the Year by the American Horse Shows Association (now the USEF) in 1999, as well as the 1999 United States Olympic Committee (USOC) Female Equestrian Athlete of the Year.
Katt intends that she and Lance will make the most of this exciting opportunity. The very best of our strongest best wishes to both of them!

The team truly showed its mettle at the Cornerstone year-end show. Hannah W. was the year-end Champion at Beginner Rider Equitation - 2' Division; Hannah T. was the Show's Reserve Champion, as well as the year-end Reserve Champion for Beginner Rider Equitation - 2' Division; Lissy was both the Show's Champion for Short Stirrup Equitation and its year-end Champion for that Division; and Megan R. was the Show's Champion for Beginner Rider Equitation - 2' Division. Great job, Team!
StoneField Shines at Cornerstone

Cornerstone Farm's January Show brought lots of Blue for the StoneField Team. Hannah W. and Lissy were both Champions of their Divisions, while Hannah T. and Blaine R. were the Reserve Champions in their respective Divisions. To round out a successful day, Kelly A.'s horse, Remi, took the Blue Ribbon at their very first show together.

CBLM Success

Congratulations to Katt and Toby on an outstanding showiing at the AA-Rated 28th Annual Col. Bengt Ljungquist Memorial Championships ("CBLM"). They 5th with a score of 67.286 at First Level Senior Rider Division A
Finals (Test 4 Open)! They qualified for the competition by placing second at First Level Test 3 with a score of 64.571 and third in Test 4
with a score of 64.474 at the Bucks County Horse Park Shows.
Katt to Equine Affair

International competitor and trainer, Daniel Stewart, considered one of the world's leading authorities on equestrian biometrics, conditioning and sport pyschology, has asked Katt to join him at the 2010 Equine Affair to be held in W. Springfield, MA from November 11 throuugh 14. As a certified Ride Right Trainer, Katt will be assisting Mr. Stewart during this national equine exposition and equestrian gathering. Congratulations Katt!
Success at Ride for Life

Despite the heat, Lancelot carried Katt to an excellent showing at the 2010 AA-Rated Ride for Life weekend show in Upper Marlboro, MD. They opened the competition by coming in FIRST in the 2nd Level Test 3 Open with a 64.651 and followed that at 2nd in the 2nd Level Test 4 Open with a 66.661. The show came to a very satisfying climax with another FIRST in the 3rd Level Test 1 Open with a 68.467! Go Lance, GO!

The first Hunter Show of the season was a resounding success for Katt's students. Champions in their Divisions were: Leah T., Kelly L., Blaine R., Amanda B. and Debbie S. Among the Reserve Champions were: Sami Z., Hannah W., Emily S., Jenna, Sam S. and Kelly L.
The first Jumper Show brought similarly impressive results for the group. Champions were: Hannah W., Sam S., Mary K. and Debbie S; while Katie S., Blaine R. and Maria McD. were Reserve Champions. Maria accomplishing the feat in two Divisions.
Congratulations to one and all and we look forward to your continuing success as the show season progresses.

At his first competition Lancelot certainly showed his mettle. His 67.44% score at Second Level Test 3 Open Division in Dressage easily surpassed the 62% qualifying requirement for the CBLM Regional Dressage Championships this Fall, carrying Katt to Second Place for the day.
ESDCTA Annual Awards

The annual ESDCTA Awards program was a big night for teacher, Katt Mills and her riding students. Grace DiNicola was awarded both the Bronze Medal and an Achievement Ribbon; while Katt received the Silver and Bronze Medals and 3rd Place in the Second Level 3 Open overall.

We are proud to announce that Marion McDonald, M.D. is recognized other than as the winning rider of Lily. Not only was she selected as the Physician of the Year by her Keystone Surgical Associates group, she was the winner of the PCRAFT Award from the St. Luke's Hospital and Health Network.
